Iron man!hez one of my fav geeks,ok today lets see how to make your desktop look as above
Here we are gonna use Rainmeter, one of the most powerful desktop customization tools available in market.
First of all, download and install rainmeter
now, your desktop would look something like this:
Alot of unwanted things ri8,nw wat to do is just right click on any of the skin and click unload to remove them
Do it untill u've removed all of the default stuff from your desktop.now hide the icons from your desktop inorder to make it less clumsy,(for dose who love their shortcuts,i'm sorry )
Now,change the color of your taskbar so that it syncs with that of your theme
you better choose a white shade, enable transparency, and completely reduce the color intensity, but the depends on the skin you want to use,its just to prevent your taskbar from degrading the look.
Now download ironman rainmeter skin
double click on the downloaded file, and wait for the installation to complete,
After the installation is complete, your desktop would look something like below,(all the gadgets would be present in their default positions)
you can sort them out by simply dragging them to the place you want them to be.and there you go!you have it!
- And you can even enable auto hide takbar to make it look even more decent.
Other skins:
if you want to try other skins as well, you can visit http://customize.org/rainmeter
Note: the themes of rainmeter come with an extension of *.rmskin, you can install them directly,
but if you get a compressed rar file, instead of rmskin file, follow the below procedure to install that as well:
- Extract the file,
- open and check if the desighner provided any desktop backgrounds,if he did,set them as your background
- Now copy that folder to the "skins" folder in "rainmeter" folder your documents, the file location will be something like,"C:\Users\user\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins"
- now right click on the rainmeter icon from the notification area and click manage
- now click Manage,
- and then click refresh all in the menu
